Liza Green, Co-Founder, Director & Secretary

Liza is from South Africa and studied at the University of Cape Town where she was involved in community outreach programs operating in the nearby townships. She is a qualified stockbroker with a background in Training and Development and HR and has worked in South Africa (for Liberty Life), Malta and Hong Kong . Since arriving in Hong Kong in 2002 she has worked as a freelance English trainer teaching in local schools and adult learning centers. Liza has traveled extensively in Asia and is settled in Hong Kong with her husband Chris and three children. She is passionate about giving something back to the region and is committed to growing New Day into a successful bridge between her community and the less fortunate communities in Asia .

Christopher Green, Co-Founder & Director

Chris is from the US. After obtaining a masters in International Finance from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at TUFTS University he worked with Citigroup in New York for five years and moved with them to Hong Kong in 2001. He is currently HSBC’s Head of Export Finance for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. Chris began traveling in Asia after completing his undergraduate degree and returned frequently to the region before settling here permanently. He in enthusiastic about growing New Day into a force for good in Asia and has a particular interest in micro-finance and sustainable development.
